Magnificent closing ceremony of DIFF 2019

On Saturday evening, thousands of visitors and locals filled all of the viewing stands to be immersed in the light party in the grand finale of the ongoing Da Nang International Firework Festival 2019.

This competition night, themed ‘Setting Sail’, featured the fireworks performances produced by JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks AB from Finland and Pyrotex Fireworx Ltd from the UK.

Attending the closing ceremony for the international-level festival were Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Secretary of the Party Central Committee cum Chief Justice of the Viet Nam Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh, Secretary of the Party Central Committee cum Head of its Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, and Chairman of the National Assembly’s Financial and Budget Committee Nguyen Duc Hai.

As for the city’s leaders, there were Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia and Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Huynh Duc Tho, and Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Nho Trung, along with the authorities of neighbouring localities and representatives from diplomatic agencies in the city.

Addressing the closing ceremony of DIFF 2019, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee cum Head of the festival’s organising board Le Trung Chinh emphasised during the 4 competition nights, the audience were treated to attractive performances, and majestic parties of lighting, colours, and sound, produced by all of the 8 participating teams.

Mr Trung underscored the importance of the event in satisfying the entertainment demand and enhancing the spiritual life of local residents and visitors, boosting international integration and cultural exchange, and advertising the image of Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, to international friends.

He also remarked that DIFF, formerly known as the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC), has become a special cultural and entertainment event of Da Nang over the past decade.

He added during that period the leaders and people of the city have made their great efforts to preserve the image of a hospitable, friendly and peaceful city, as well as make Da Nang deserve its title of  ‘Asia’s Leading Festival and Events Destination’.
