The event was jointly organised by the VNA, and the Viet Nam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).

On display are a total of 150 black and white, and colour photographs, which depict the beauty of Viet Nam’s sea and islands, as well as reflect the country’s marine economic activities, and islanders’ daily lives.

These photos are chosen from thousands of images and documentary films taken by VNA reporters and staff members of Vietsovpetro, an Oil and Gas Joint Venture between Viet Nam and Russia, during their trips to the country’s sea and islands, and Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago.

The exhibition features a total of 150 black and white, and colour photographs.

The exhibition aims to show sentiments and responsibilities of reporters, and oil and gas engineers and workers, towards their nation’s scared land. In addition, the intention is to honour the sacrifice of soldiers and civilians in protecting the country’s islands and sea, along with those working in offshore oil fields.

Moreover, the event helps to re-affirm the country’s sovereignty on the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, as well as to uphold traditional patriotism and raise public awareness about the country’s sovereignty on the two archipelagos.
