According to the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, again as in previous years, the DIFF 2019 event will still be organised by the real estate developer Sun Group, whilst the Global2000 International Limited from Malaysia will serve as the consultants for this much-awaited international-level large-scale event.

The fireworks will be set off at the former Han River Port near the Novotel Hotel on Bach Dang, whilst the main stage and viewing stands for spectators will be set up on the eastern bank of the Han River.

The DIFF 2019 will take ‘Nhung dong song ke chuyen’ (Rivers tell stories) as its main theme.

Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dung remarked that under the theme of performance nights, the participating teams will be allowed to produce their pyrotechnic shows highlighting their own stories about their countries.

In particular, the grand finale will take a special theme featuring the 10-year-long journey of the DIFF.

On the sideline of the over one-month-long festival, both local residents and visitors are expected to be treated to a wide range of fabulous cultural events.

Notable amongst the support events will be a national-level joint-performance flashmob show whose qualifying rounds will be scheduled to take place at 4 specific locations nationwide whilst the final round will be held in Da Nang.

Besides, a fascinating street carnival is expected to atract large crowds of locals and visitors.

Vice Chairman Dung underscored the importance of organising many exciting support events which are associated with the host city’s brand name.

Also, he urged the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, as soon as possible, to develop detailed organisation plans for the DIFF 2019’s festive events and then widely publicise them.
