Da Nang most searched for upcoming holiday

Da Nang has the highest number of searches among Vietnamese destinations by domestic travellers for the upcoming public holiday on April 30 and May 1.

This is the result of a study published by Booking.com platform, one of the world's leading digital travel platforms, on April 17.

Based on Booking.com’s recent search data from March 17 - April 6, 75% of Vietnamese tourists looked for information about cool tourist destinations to book rooms for the five-day break, falling from April 27 to May 1.

Currently, up to 82% of domestic tourists express their interest in destinations near the sea to escape from the ongoing intense heat.

As a result, Da Nang, which is famous for its charming beaches and bustling nightlife, topped the list by Vietnamese travellers for the forthcoming public holiday. It was followed by Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Hoi An, Phan Thiet and Mui Ne.

According to Booking.com, Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, Hue, Ha Noi , Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are the most searched domestic destinations by Vietnamese travellers for the public holiday, from April 26 to May 1.

Not only domestic destinations, neighbouring cities in the Asia-Pacific region are also attractive to Vietnamese tourists.

Bangkok leads the list of international destinations most searched for by Vietnamese tourists, followed by Singapore, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo.

Thailand continues to be a popular choice for Vietnamese tourists as 3 out of the 10 most searched destinations are Thai cities.
