Under the agreement, the two sides will together organise seminars and talks on investment promotion activities into Da Nang, and hold D-day investment days in the city.

Importance will be attached to encouraging even more South Korean investors to pour their money into Da Nang, with a focus on the city’s priority aspects such as hi-tech and information technology.

In his remarks at the signing ceremony, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh proudly said his city boasts its improved infrastructure, favourable geographical position, high-quality human resources, and preferential policies for foreign investors.

He noted that South Korea was currently the city’s 5th largest investor with a total investment capital of 310.4 million USD. He, however, emphasised the figure was still modest compared to the great potential of South Korean businesses.

Vice Chairman Chinh, therefore, asked for help from Nemo Partners to further advertise his city’s investment environment to South Korean businesses in the coming time.

Also, he vowed that the city authorties would create very favourable conditions for foreign investors, including those from South Korea, to invest and operate effectively in the city.

In reply, Mr Lee Sung-woo, CEO of Nemo Partners, said during this year his company would become more actively involved in advertising beautiful images of Da Nang to South Korean investors, as well as provide comprehensive consultancy services for any businesses who want to do business in the central coastal locality.

“My company is planning to appeal for South Korean startups to participate in incubation programme in Da Nang. In addition, more seminars and business talks on the city’s investment environment will be organised for medium-sized Korean enterprises in the coming time”, he underscored.

In 2018, Nemo Partners introduced many investors from South Korea to visit and seek investment opportunities in Da Nang.

Amongst of them were the Hansung Co Ltd, the Autech Otis Group, the KT Corporation and the Enjoyworks company who visited Da Nang in April last year.
