City's orientation for tourist accommodation establishments

By 2020, the total number of rooms at tourist accommodation establishments in Da Nang is expected to have been 40,610.

Of this, rooms in 4 and 5-star hotels are 14,538, accounting for 35.8% of the total, whilst those in 1-3 star ones are 21,147, making up for 52%.

By 2025, the total number of tourist accommodation rooms is predicted to have been 74,435, and by 2030, this figure is likely to have been 109,051.

In particular, tourist accommodation development priority is given to the districts of Ngu Hanh Son, Son Tra and Hai Chau, along with coastal areas, inner-city areas and major streets.

Municipal People’s Commitee Vice Chairman Dung urged relevant agencies to exactly identify the level of the local tourism development and types of tourists, hereby offering the suitable types of accommodations to satisfy their needs.

Mr Dung also underscored the significance of developing a plan to develop inland waterway tourism products, with the opening of more new boat trip routes and more attractive tourism services onboard.
According to the Da Nang Department of Transport, there are now 24 eligible tourist boats operating on the Han River.

Of these, 20 boats operate on the Han River-Tran Thi Ly Bridge route, whilst the remaining ones serve tours to the Da Nang Bay and and Son Tra Peninsula.

From now until 2025, Da Nang is focusing on appealing for domestic and foreign investment into over 20 projects on developing inland waterway transportation services and building tourist boat piers.
