More incentives for businesses operating in dedicated IT parks

In a bid to attract even more domestic and foreign investment into the Da Nang dedicated Information Technology (IT) parks, the municipal authorities have issued numerous preferential policies for businesses from both home and abroad operating there.

In particular, as for the public IT Park, the city’s authorities will assist enterprises here to access business premises, ready-built common technical infrastructure and dedicated wastewater treatment plants, plus other facilities.

With regard to the IT Park under public–private partnership model, the city will help investors here cover 50% of their total costs of site clearance, compensation and resettlement works. In addition, these investors will enjoy exemptions or reductions from land lease and infrastructure fees.

Enterprises involving the development of software projects are eligible for tax incentives will continue enjoying these incentives after moving their headquarters to local dedicated IT parks if their benefits are still valid.

In particular, new projects in the dedicated IT parks will enjoy incentives for investment credit.

In addition, new projects will enjoy an incentive corporate income tax rate of 10% in 15 years. Also, these projects will be entitled to corporate income tax exemption for 4 first years of their operation, and a 50% tax reduction for 9 subsequent years.

With regard to import tax incentives, import duty exemption for 5 first years will be applied to raw materials, supplies and accessories that cannot be domestically produced, and are imported for production activities at investment projects.

Developers of dedicated IT parks will be supported by the national government for site clearance work, and the construction of technical infrastructure system inside and outside the parks, and public transportation systems there.

Moreover, they will enjoy 50% land lease fee reduction, and other benefits about the use of electricity, water and telecommunications services.
