Visitor attractions and events in the city for New Year holiday

Da Nang will host diversified tourism activities to attract more visitors from both home and abroad for the upcoming 3-day New Year 2018 holiday break.

Along with the Winter Festival at the Sun World Ba Na Hills resort, the Museum of Da Nang will hold an event to welcome the first visitor of 2018 on 1 January.

At the Marble Mountains tourism site, representatives from the Management Board will present gifts to the first tourist of the year. 

Meanwhile, other tourism areas across the city will be decorated to welcome visitors, while launching attractive promotion programmes.

According to the municipal Department of Tourism, the city is expected to welcome a total of about 143,000 tourists over the New Year 2018 holiday, up 17.9% over the same period last year, of whom 81,530 are foreigners, a rise of 16.2% year on year.

Several new air routes have been already launched to connect the city with Incheon, Busan and Daegu cities of the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong (China), and Osaka in Japan.

The Department will host a ceremony to welcome the first flight of 2018 at the Da Nang International Airport.

Four cruise ships are scheduled to dock in the Tien Sa Port over the holiday period.  The Department will also welcome the first cruise visiting the city on New Year’s Day.
