On Tuesday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho and other city leaders jointly chaired a meeting to assess some planning projects and their architectural designs.

A 1.5 trillion VND international hospital will be constructed at the end of 30 April street in Hai Chau District’s Hoa Cuong Bac Ward.  The hospital will be one of the city’s projects in preparation for the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, which is being held in Da Nang in October 2017.

Also at the meeting, the Hon Ngoc Chau A Company was permitted to make adjustments to its seaside tourism area project in Ngu Hanh Son District which will be used to organise activities on the sidelines of the 25th APEC Summit.

The city’s leaders also agreed to convert a driving range in the city’s Thanh Nien (Youth) Park project for other services at a cost of about 11 billion VND.  Of this, 9.3 billion VND will come from the city’s budget, whilst the remainder will be donated by local organisations and individuals.

In detail, the existing building and a parking area at the site will remain unchanged.   The existing area where golfers practice their golf swings will be converted into 2 mini football fields, one basketball, 2 tennis and 2 volleyball courts, an outdoor area for doing physical exercises, and a playground for children.  There will also be an outdoor venue for wedding parties with a total capacity of 1,600 seats.

Following its successful operation of a milk plant in the city’s Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, the Vietnam Dairy Cow Company, a subsidiary of Vinamilk, will develop a 350 billion VND dairy cow farm in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Phong Commune.

The 66ha farm will raise between 2,000 and 2,500 milk cows.  The project is expected to offer job opportunities at the farm for about 100 local job seekers, and will employ between 350 and 450 local farming families to grow grass and maize to feed the cows.

The city’s leaders also encouraged the company to invest more into the city’s hi-tech agriculture and develop raw material growing areas for dairy production in the city and Quang Nam Province in the near future.
