The Da Nang port is targeting to handle 6.5 million tonnes of cargo by the end of this year.  This figure includes over 260,000 TEUs on container ships, which will help the port to earn about 455 billion VND in revenue. 

According to the port’s leaders, this year’s target is within the reach of the port.  Despite the economic difficulties in 2014, the total volume of cargo transported through the Da Nang Port reached over 6.02 million tonnes, 20% above the year’s target set by the Viet Nam National Shipping Lines.
