Published: November 08, 2013

Nguyen Van Linh is one of the busiest streets in the inner city, and an important centre of commerce in Da Nang.  The 1.2 km-long street runs from the intersection of Tran Phu Street and the approach to the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge in the east, to Nguyen Tri Phuong Street in the west.

The street was opened to traffic in 1997 and it was named after Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh on 2 July 1998.  He was an excellent student of the late President Ho Chi Minh, and a consistent and creative Party leader who earned his exemplary reputation through his contributions to the national cause of renewal.

Nguyen Van Linh is also one of the most beautiful streets in Da Nang, and its shops show a touch of class.  There are numerous stores which specialise in fashionable clothes and cosmetics, with famous brand names such as Ivy Moda and THEFACESHOP.  The street is also bustling with many cellphone stores like The Gioi Di Dong, Quoc Hung, FPT, and Mobilephone, along with several computer shops such as Hoan Long, Quang Long and Phuong Tung.  You will also find banks, office buildings for lease, and healthcare establishments.  These include Hoang Anh Gia Lai Plaza, one of the city’s tallest buildings, Hai Van Palace, Fortis Hoan My Da Nang Hospital and Family Medical, and banks such as Viettin Bank, SHB, SeABank, Dong A and Vietbank.

Visitors to this street can also enjoy the many delicious local foods at reasonable prices in a number of restaurants.  There are many coffee shops too, ideal for enjoying a coffee with family or friends.

Nguyen Van Linh is one of Da Nang’s top shopping streets.
