The Da Nang Market Management Bureau has recently imposed administrative fines totalling 19.8 million VND on 2 shops for refusing to serve Vietnamese customers.  They are the HA natural rubber showroom on 148 Xuan Thuy in Cam Le District, which was only open to Chinese shoppers, and the Sao Dai Han souvenir shop on Vo Nguyen Giap in Son Tra District for only accepting South Korean visitors.

After receiving reports from local residents that no Vietnamese customers were being allowed to visit these shops, the city’s market management force immediately made inspection visits to the facilities to check their business activities.

As a result, the HA natural rubber showroom was found to be selling bedding accessories imported from China without quality certifications and the required sub-labels in Vietnamese.  It has been fined 15 million VND for its violations.

A fine of 4.8 million VND has been imposed on the Sao Dai Han souvenir shop for selling imported products without their Vietnamese sub-labels, not displaying the selling prices clearly, and violating the city’s regulations about US dollar exchange activities.

The shops were both required to now open their doors to both foreign and Vietnamese customers.
