DA NANG Newspaper promotes cooperation with Journalists Association of Korea

The DA NANG Newspaper’s editors, on Sunday, played host to a delegation from the Journalists Association of Korea (JAK), led by its President Jung Kyu-Sung.

Also present at the reception for South Korean guests was the Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Journalists’ Association cum Chairman of the Da Nang Journalists' Association, Mr Mai Duc Loc.

Addressing the event, the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Truong Cong Dinh briefed his South Korean guests on his agency’s performance, and remarked that the newspaper has strongly affirmed its stated role as ‘the voice of the party, government and people of Da Nang’.

Noticeably, in recent years, the newspaper’s editors and its staff have made their ceasely efforts in full swing to enhance the quality of their publications in order to provide its readers with multi-dimensional information in a prompt and effective manner. 

With regard to foreign relations, the newspaper has established bilateral ties with a number of foreign press agencies, including some South Korean newspapers.

Editor-in-Chief Dinh believed that the meeting with the South Korean visitors would play an important role in developing bilateral relations between the DA NANG Newspaper and South Korean press agencies, thereby helping to strengthen the friendship between the city and South Korea localities, and between the 2 countries as a whole, in the years ahead.

In reply, President Jung Kyu-Sung thanked the Da Nang hosts for their warm welcome given to his delegation. He also promised that JAK would promote the cooperation, in the coming time, between South Korean press agencies with the DA NANG Newspaper, and other units involved in this aspect across the city.

Founded in 1964, JAK is the largest organisation of professional journalists in Korea with a current membership of over 10,000 individual journalists working for the nation's newspaper companies, broadcasting services, Internet news, and news agencies.
