During his reception for the Japanese guests, Vice Chairman Minh expressed his delight at the fine development of the bilateral cooperative relationship with some Japanese localities over recent years.

He remarked that Da Nang has to date established the bilateral friendship and cooperation relations with Kawasaki, Sakai and Yokohama cities of Japan.

Also, the city has entered into cooperative agreements with around 15 cities and provinces of Japan in such aspects as politics, economy, education, culture, and humanitarian activities.

The city leader affirmed that Japanese guests’ visit would help to foster the bilateral solidarity and friendship between Japan and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, as well as to strengthen the bilateral cooperative relations between the coast guard forces of the two countries.

He hoped that the bilateral cooperative relations in search and rescue activities, and ensuring maritime security and safety, with Japan would be further enhanced. He said he would like the Japanese guests to advertise the beautiful images of people and landscape of Da Nang to their country’s citizens and its businesses.

In reply, Col Hinorobu thanked the city leaders for their warm welcome and facilitating Japanese officers and crew members to participate in numerous cultural and sports exchange activities during their stay in Da Nang.

The Japanese naval officer hoped that the bilateral cooperative relationships with Viet Nam, and Da Nang in particular, in the aspects of economy, defence and security would be strengthened in the coming time.
