The final round of the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2013 (ABU Robocon 2013) ended successfully at the Da Nang Tien Son Sports Arena on Sunday 18 August.  The event was co-organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Association and the Viet Nam Television Station (VTV).

The Japanese team won the championship after beating its rivals Viet Nam 1 with a score of 300-30 in a time of 51 seconds.  The Viet Nam 1 team came second, whilst the Viet Nam 2 and Indonesian teams shared third place.  In addition, the Egyptian team was given the creative prize.

At the closing ceremony, representatives of VTV handed over the hosting flag to India as the country which will host the next competition in 2014.
