Like the Hien Nhan mini library at K34/89 Le Huu Trac in Da Nang’s Son Tra District which is owned by teacher Dang Van Muoi from the No 1 Continuing Education Centre, privately-owned The Book Library & Coffee located on Cao Thang Street is one of the city’s best places to read.

The owner of the venue has a deep love for reading. When studying in the UK, she often visited public reading spaces. She added that each of residential clusters in the UK has a public library, and reading is a habit of many British people. Therefore, she nurtured a dream of developing a healthy reading habit in her hometown’s residents.

When becoming a mother, she has exerted every effort to cultivate a reading habit in her children and other kids who are the same age as hers.

Therefore, she decided to open The Book Library & Coffee nearly one month ago. To date, it has proved effective as it has attracted a large number of local book lovers.

The venue offers different types of books such as comic and fairy tale books, books of parenting skills, literature, English language, economy, and novels.

In addition, numerous talks about life skills for children, pupils and students have been organised at this shop.

Most notably, this place is very inviting to visitors thanks to its eye-catching decorations with simple and comfortable sets of tables and chairs. This is really ideal venue for visitors to read books, enjoy delicious drinks and take selfies.

Mr Pham Hong Thai, Director of the Da Nang General Science Library, said recent years have seen a growing number of privately-owned reading spaces. He also highlighted the significance of the operation of such private libraries in promoting the development of a common library network in the city, and the country as a whole.
