Fascinating performance by local arts troupe

As part of the ongoing 2nd stage of National Music and Dance Competition 2018 at Da Nang's Trung Vuong Theatre, the city's arts programme themed ‘Stories about Tien Sa’ attracted the attention of more than 1,300 audience members.

Conducted by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and the Trung Vuong Theatre, the programme was staged on Tuesday evening by local senior artists, including the theatre’s director and singer Tran Van Hao, drama director People’s Artist Kieu Le and with script written by poet Le Canh Nhac.

‘Stories about Tien Sa’ features the dream of angels in love with people on Earth. The story reflects the desire of Da Nang people to build the city into a land of love and nature.

The large performance was directed with the application of modern technology from the digital music and image industry, including projection mapping creating special visual effects, wowing viewers.

After each show, the artists received huge applause from the audience who occupied all seats in the theatre.

The 2nd stage of National Music and Dance Competition 2018 is taking place at the Trung Vuong Theatre from 20 - 31 August.

The event attracts the participation of more than 800 artists from 18 professional arts troupes nationwide, including the Viet Nam Music Song and Dance Theatre, Bac Lieu Province's Cao Van Lau Theatre, Phu Yen Province’s Sao Bien Theatre, Dak Nong Province’s art troupe, and the Trung Vuong Theatre.

Deputy Director of the Da Nang Culture and Sports Department, Nguyen Thi Hoi An, said the annual festival was an opportunity for artists to show off their talents in singing, playing instruments and dancing in the biggest competition of the year.
