DNIM is the first professional marathon in Viet Nam, and it has been certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).  Thanks to this, the competition has proved very popular and attracted an increasing number of runners, from both home and abroad, over the years.

In 2014, Da Nang honourably became the 97th member of AIMS.

Since it was first held in 2013, the competition has attracted growing numbers of runners from both home and abroad.

In particular, this year’s event saw the participation of a total of about 4,000 professional and amateur runners from all around the world, and the figure is likely to hit around 4,500 next year.

The annual event is a good opportunity for Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, to promote themselves to domestic and international friends.

In addition, there will be a wide range of exciting activities to serve runners and supporters after the competition, such as information stands, tours to local tourist attractions, and a gala festival.

People can register online for DNIM 2018 at www.rundanang.com or in person at the city’s based VietNam Travelmart company at 68 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Hai Chau District.
