Duy Tan University students win regional final of Singing Contest

The central region final of the 14th National Singing Contest for Students recently took place in Da Nang.  The event was jointly organised by the Ministry of Education and Training and the University of Da Nang. 

A total of 17 teams took part from 13 universities and junior colleges across the central region.  Their performances featured songs about the love for the motherland, the country, the Party and the late President Ho Chi Minh.

The 1st prize went to Da Nang’s Duy Tan University, whilst the University of Economics and the University of Science and Technology, both from Da Nang, shared 2nd place.  The Hue Academy of Music, the Vinh University and Da Nang’s University of Education and College of Foreign Languages shared 3rd prize.  In addition, a total of 16 A and 17 B prizes were awarded to outstanding contestants. 

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners, along with the prize A winners, will now advance to the national final which will take place in Da Nang in April 2016.
