More Japanese investments poured into city's manufacturing and tourism projects

The Yamato Sewing Machine Manufacturing company from Japan plans to build a factory in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, providing sewing machines, spare parts, accessories and automotive equipment in sewing industry.

The city’s Investment Promotion Centre confirmed to Viet Nam News that the firm is the third Japanese investor at this Park.

Yamato will soon start the construction of the 2.85ha project with a total investment of 28 million USD.

Yamato has established its representative offices in Ha Noi and HCM City since 2007.

Between 2012 and 2016, the 1,010-ha Park in Hoa Vang District, 20km west of the city, attracted 6 projects valued at 180 million USD in total from 2 Japanese and 4 domestic investors.

According to the Centre, 2 Japanese companies namely Mikazuki and Katsuura, will together start the construction of a 24.5ha complex of hotel, entertainment and beach resort in Lien Chieu District with a total capital of 110 million USD next year.

Japan is Da Nang’s second largest foreign investor with 134 projects totalling 598 million USD.
