On Tuesday, the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a meeting to review the first year of implementation of Government Resolution No 35/NQ-CP which concerns support for businesses and furthering their development.  The meeting also identified the tasks for VCCI in 2017.

Attending the event were municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh and VCCI Chairman Vu Tien Loc, along with representatives from businesses across the central region and highlands.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Minh highlighted, “The city’s progress is associated with the stable and sustainable development of local businesses.  Therefore, the focus should be on enhancing the business and investment environment, and facilitating local businesses to fully tap their great potential and increase their productivity and business capabilities.  Also, numerous dialogues between the city leaders and local businesses will be organised so that the city authorities can listen to and sort out any difficulties which businesses are facing.”

Participants at the meeting raised their opinions about mechanisms, policies, administrative procedures, loan interest rates, and difficulties relating to production and business premises.

In addition, they asked VCCI and business associations in the region to raise their strong voices to convey the aspirations of local businesses to the authorities at all levels, and the Vietnamese government as a whole.

There are now 50 associations of businesses across the central region and highlands, 20 of which are in Da Nang.  Last year, association members saw numerous positive results from their production and business activities.
