May CPI expected to up by 0.24%

Da Nang’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in May is likely to have risen by 0.24% against April. 

The prices of most consumer products have certainly risen during the month.  The highest increase is predicted to be in housing, electricity, water, fuel, and building materials at 1.59%, followed by transportation at 1.14%.

The prices of cultural, entertainment and tourism services have climbed by 0.52%, restaurant and food services by 0.42%, and garments, hats and footwear by 0.16%.

During the month, the prices of household appliances and equipment are likely to have risen by 0.09%, education increased by 0.02%, whilst those of other goods and services climbed by 0.22%.

Provision price, however, is likely to have decreased by 0.64%, whilst that of food declined by 0.15%.

Over the month, the city’s total value of retail sales of goods and services is expected to hit 5,396.6 billion VND, an increase of 1.86% against April and 97.49% compared with the same period last year.
