The Chairman of Japan’s Tokyo Keiki Precision Technology Company, Mr Motoshi Mitobe, said that he was very happy with the city’s “Year for Business” programme because it will bring benefits to local foreign investors, including those from Japan.  He said that, thanks to the programme, his company and other FDI businesses will have the opportunity to enjoy local preferential policies for their operations in the city.

He also stressed the need for the city’s authorities to stand side by side with the business community, which is one of the most important factors in helping to further promote local economic growth.  He affirmed that his company will make more significant contributions to the hi-tech industry - one of the city’s priority sectors.

The Tokyo Keiki Precision Technology Company specialises in manufacturing mechanical equipment like solenoids and hydraulic valves.  Thanks to the city’s favourable investment environment, its incentive policies, and its well-qualified, young local human resources, the company has decided to build an over 40 million USD hydraulic equipment manufacturing factory in the city’s Hi-Tech Park.

The General Director of Crowne Plaza Da Nang, Mr Adwin Chong, said that 2013 saw a significant increase in the number of both domestic and foreign visitor arrivals.  This has helped make Da Nang a professional, modern, and friendly tourism environment.  This impressive achievement can be mainly attributed to a lot of the city’s popular tourist attractions and local dynamic tourism-stimulating policies.

He added that his resort had seen a considerable increase in the number of visitors in 2013.  During 2014, the resort will prioritise increasing the number of guest rooms to 1,000.

Mr Chong also took the opportunity to thank the city’s authorities for their support of the local business community.  He said that he hopes the city will do its utmost to attract even more visitors to the city.

The General Director of Indochina Capital, Mr Peter R Ryder, said that he arrived in Da Nang 22 years ago.  Since then, he has seen the city’s rapid economic growth including numerous remarkable achievements.  He said that the city really deserved the title of the most dynamic city in the central region, and the country as a whole.  Therefore, his group will continue investing and expanding its investments in the city, he remarked.

In 2013 the group recorded its highest ever economic growth rate, doubling the figure for last year.  This positive result was attributed to Da Nang’s numerous investment incentive policies for foreign investors.
