Last Friday, the Da Nang Party Committee Secretary, Mr Tran Tho, made an inspection visit to the Hi-tech Park’s construction site.  Workers from the Trung Nam Group, the project’s contractor, were busily involved in implementing the project.

Secretary Tho stressed the need to ensure good infrastructure development to boost the local hi-tech industry.  The project’s developers, contractors and relevant agencies were asked to do their utmost to complete the project on or ahead of schedule.  This will facilitate the city’s appeal to foreign and domestic investors to invest in this park.

On the same day, the Deputy Secretary of the city’s Party Committee, Mr Vo Cong Tri, checked the post-Tet operation of the Japanese-invested Mabuchi Motor company at the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, and the Da Nang Sea Products Import-Export Corporation in Son Tra District.

Last year, the Mabuchi Motor Company earned 1.9 trillion VND in revenue.  It generated job opportunities for 4,520 local residents and contributed over 14 billion VND tax to the city’s budget.

Also last Friday, the municipal People’s Committee Chairman, Mr Van Huu Chien, inspected the construction of the new Da Nang Administration Centre.

The Deputy Head of the city’s Management Board for Construction Management, Mr Nguyen Huu Hinh, said that all of the main construction work is expected to be completed by March.  Construction units are currently involved in completing the interior and exterior decor as well as installing the information technology infrastructure.  The city has invited contractors to bid for the building of an underground parking area on the southern side of the centre, construction of which will start in the first quarter of this year.
